Gray Monk began with a vision: to bring the spirit of European winemaking to the Okanagan.
Celebrating Over 50 Years of Cool-Climate Winemaking
In 1972, George and Trudy Heiss planted Canada’s first Pinot Gris, introducing celebrated cool-climate varietals like Gewürztraminer and Ehrenfelser, and forever shaping BC’s wine industry.
Today, we carry their legacy forward—crafting exceptional wines with care, embracing innovation, and staying deeply connected to the land we call home. From our heritage vines to the modern techniques we pioneer, every bottle is a testament to tradition and progress.
